SURESH KERKETTA

Suresh Kerketta is a Paris-based filmmaker, cinematographer, editor, colourist and photographer. His practice is rooted in film direction: creating stories in which image, performance, rhythm and sound work together to reveal the emotional life of characters.

A graduate in Film Direction from ESEC Paris (2022), Suresh combines a filmmaker’s sensitivity with the precision of his earlier training in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. He has worked across independent feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos and branded content, bringing a hands-on understanding of every stage of production—from script development and visual preparation to cinematography, editing, colour grading and final delivery.

As a director, he is particularly drawn to stories of identity, solitude, moral conflict and human connection. His visual approach balances carefully composed images with emotional intimacy, using light, movement and silence to enter the inner world of his characters. His experience as a cinematographer and editor informs his direction, allowing him to shape both the language of the frame and the rhythm of a film from its earliest conception.

Based in Paris, Suresh is developing original feature-film projects while continuing to collaborate as a director, cinematographer and post-production artist in France and internationally.

His short film Les adversaires de l’ombre received the Prix du Public in 2026, while Duvidha (Indecision) was officially selected at BISFF 2026. Earlier, he received Best Cinematography and Best Editing for Death Alive at the 48 Hour Film Project in Hyderabad (2012).
